International Lifting & Shipping Limited (ILS) has been appointed as the official contractor for lifting at MACH; no other company is permitted to carry out lifting within the halls so please ensure you have booked all your lifting requirements both for stand fitting and machinery exhibits using the lifting form accessible on the Order Forms page.
Please also note that if you are a space-only exhibitor, the first lift of machinery exhibits on to and off the stand is included in your stand price but this does not include any second lifts, re-positioning or fees chargeable due to late ordering all of which are the responsibility of the exhibitor.

The Organisers have appointed International Lifting & Shipping Ltd (ILS) as the sole official lifting contractor to assist exhibitors.
Space-only exhibitors will be provided, free of charge, the first lift of machinery exhibits off the transport vehicle and into position on the stand and vice-versa during break-down. This applies to exhibits only, not stand fitting materials.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
It is essential that you note the following guidelines regarding the definition of ‘first lift’ and advise your contractors and colleagues accordingly:
- The first lift means simply taking an unpacked / un-palletted machine off the vehicle and placing it exactly into position on the stand and the reverse, after the exhibition.
- Second lift charges will be made should the equipment be supplied in crates or on pallets and needs to be lifted out of the crate / off the pallet, once unloaded from the vehicle.
- Second lift charges will be made should the equipment have been placed in the designated position and the exhibitor then wishes it lifted and moved etc.
- Additional charges will not be made if it is not possible to place the exhibit on the stand through no fault of the exhibitor (e.g. if a vehicle is in the way).
- Any additional fees resulting from missing the order deadlines will not be included in the free first lift and will be charged to the exhibitor.
Allocated Lifting Times:
Lifting at MACH takes place in a precise order and on a very tight schedule; exhibitors will be advised of their lifting schedule prior to the exhibition and must ensure that their transport arrives in good time for the scheduled lift both from the lorry during build-up and back onto the lorry during break-down. Please note your lifting slot is non-negotiable and you may need to arrange for transport on Sunday during the breakdown. Failure to meet given timings may result in financial penalties.
YOU SHOULD ALSO ENSURE THAT YOUR CONTRACTORS AND COLLEAGUES ARE MADE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- No MACH exhibitor may employ any other lifting contractor in the halls nor may any exhibitor carry out his own lifting.
- Exhibitors must arrange for a duly authorised representative to be present at each lift to sign an acknowledgement of the provision of such services.
- The official lifting contractor will issue all exhibitors with scheduled delivery and collection dates for both inward and outward movements. It is therefore essential that the Lifting, Handling and Storage Order Form is completed and returned by all exhibitors no later than 6th March 2026.
- Please note that the Tuesday and Wednesday of the build period have been designated exclusively for lifting of exhibits only. However, lifting will then continue throughout build-up dates in designated areas so please ensure you have the required PPE for working in lifting areas.
- No vehicle shall, at any time, be permitted to enter any buildings in the venue without the authority of the Traffic Manager and all vehicles within the venue shall at all times comply with the directions of the Traffic Manager and NEC Regulations. No vehicle will be admitted to the buildings in the venue at any time when the Exhibition is open to the public.
- All packages and cases sent to the venue must bear the name of the exhibitor and his stand number and must be addressed “c/o MACH 2026, Hall ____Stand____, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham B40 1NT, UK.”
- All machine tools must be delivered unpacked to the exhibition hall. The removal and cost of removing unwanted packing cases and pallets will be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor.
- Each exhibitor must remove all exhibits, machines, furniture, fittings and other property from the venue by the time stated in the exhibitor manual – please refer to the ‘Timetable’ page for details. In the event of the exhibitor failing to comply with the provisions of this regulation, the Organisers may remove, transport and store the property concerned in such a manner as it may see fit, the cost of such removal and storage being charged to the exhibitor.
International Lifting & Shipping Ltd will collect and remove all swarf and similar demonstration waste material from all stands during the Exhibition. This service can be ordered by ticking the box on the lifting and shipping order form.
